Slow, Melodramatic, and not very insightful
There was some beautiful art in this--one shot in particular, above the house of one of the protagonists, was extremely nice.
The pacing on this was way too slow. The creators clearly wanted us to languish in the oh-so-poignant emotions of the build-up to the shooting. But we were left in these long pauses and long shots of walking feet and slowly moving people with little to think about. Who were these guys? What were they thinking about? We're offered little except a melodramatic scene of one getting beat up in a bathroom and some movie posters.
This movie dwells on the facts of the thing themselves as if they'll offer insight, but, if anything, we're left more befuddled than before. It's like listening to someone recount what they've heard about the story in 20 seconds and then say, "Isn't that heavy?" Except instead of 20 seconds they're taking 20 minutes.
This tragedy was and is significant, but this movie does little other than exploit the most superficial emotional reactions people have to it.
