Reviews for "Autumn Tree"

ur a sick bastard

the artwork was pretty good and you told the story well, but i dont see why you would make a movie like this. you seem to make those boys out to be the heros. i dont get it. im giving this movie a 1.

sad sad sad

great flash.."Kids can be cruel" even so no matter how much you get picked on you still should'nt kill anyone. Dont have such a weak mind ppl may put you down, but dont let it get to you its hard but life gose on
and in 20 to 30 years those ppl who pick might be worse off anywat its called karma

You can animate, but poor selection.

Music was decent, no speaking until the end. You can obviously animate, but your selection of what to animate was poorly chosen. It was basically just a fairly boring documentary about a couple of kids who decided to shoot a few people at their school. Even if it did happen, doesn't mean its anything good to animate. Calling a teacher a bitch after shooting him...yea, lets kill the people who have to work for a living because were fuckups, but its not our fault, oh no, nothing is ever your own fault, lets blame the teachers parents and some kids for our failure at life in a nifty little suicide note.... Come on, really, the animations good, the sounds decent, but its really not that great an flash, mainly because what you chose to animate just kinda sucked. Better luck next time.

It was alright.

It was good at first.

Sad

Wonderful job on the flash, guys.

It's sad, but this kind of thing could happen again. I remember when it happened, everyone went ballistic in my school and started pointing fingers at everyone that they had ever wronged claiming that they would be the next to shoot up a school. Some of my friends got arrested because some of the popular girls said they said something about blowing up the school. Which they didn't, all of the popular people just got paranoid after the Columbine tragedy. The school hired some professionals to teach the entire school not to belittle one another and just leave eachother the hell alone. Worked a little, but there were still some very hard headed people.

But with Columbine's memory slowly fading from everyone's minds, there is a false sense of secrurity. Kids are teasing eachother again, beating eachother up, and just all around being cruel to eachother. One of these days they are going to choose the wrong kid to pick on and he or she will shoot up their school... and so on....

I just had a son and I am terrified of what he will go through when he goes to school. I wonder to myself if he'll be one of those popular kids picking on the others... Or if he'll be the hero that steps in and stops it. As soon as he's old enough to understand what I'm saying to him, I am going to sit him down and tell him that it is NOT okay to beat up other kids, that it is NOT okay to call them names or make them feel bad about themselves. I hope to raise him to be the kind of person that won't turn into a cold hearted person that can tease... or kill..

In everyone's minds, it's not a big issue. "Kids can be cruel" is all everyone will ever say. But they never do anything about it. They ignore their children's actions, then wonder why someone tried to kill them later on. And I'm not talking about Columbine, there are things that happen even into someone's adult life that can lead to the same result. It can be a dark night on the street, your son so happens to make a rude comment about someone nearby, that person shoots him. Its not just an issue of how children act, it's an issue about how we as human beings should treat one another.

Now I'm not saying that those boys were justified in killing all of those people... They more than likely had a mental illness and that is something to tip toe around. You never know who's mentally ill. You never know who to trust deep down. So my advice to anyone is to be careful what you say to everyone around you. It just might be the last thing you'll ever say. Sometimes it's easy to see the signs of someone who's "not right in the head". But most of the time it isn't. Either way, most mentally ill people cannot control themselves, such as these two boys. They don't have a sense of whats right and whats wrong because everything in their world is distorted.

Moral of the story: Do unto others as you would have unto you. And if you are on the other side of the fence, in the seat of those boys then please seek out someone to talk to. Someone you can trust not to flip out, someone with reason and a voice that calms you.

Anyways, that's the first review I've ever felt very sensative about in a long time. Congrats on getting me to write one so lengthy and full of meaning! In the meantime, I need a tissue. That flash really got me even more frightened about where my son will be in highschool, and if he'll be safe.
