Reviews for "Autumn Tree"

Good, but seems a bit uninformed

Graphics were good except for the one animation mentioned multiple times preceding me. I like the bland feel of it, it makes you see eye-to-eye with Klebold and Harris.

Your Style was impeccable, but I question how much research you did. For one thing, why did you change the names if you knew them? It wasn't legality, you openly said it was based on Columbine's events. The fact that the two killers bowled every day was something you missed in their 'dull teenage routine'. Also, you missed something. Christian/Dylan may not have been psychopathic, but Alex/Eric was. Eric Harris was diagnosed with Psychopath Personality Disorder by a group of America's best psychiatrists. Klebold's anger was soothed by the calculative Harris, whose angst was fed by his friend's hot-headedness. That's what escalated their message to the point of driving it home with guns. [And I believe they only used pistols, but a lot of them]. Nonetheless, you obviously know what Harris's demeanor, because I saw the symptoms in what minimal of his actions you showed, such as how Klebold/Christian treated it like a game while Alex/Harris was far more solemn throughout the whole movie. I like the touch of mentioning them having friends... most people forget that the duo were NOT unpopular. They had a decent group of friends and partied quite often. They even broke into a lot of vans and such. A lot of people may have called them 'cool' before they did what they did. But was Harris really bullied? That puzzles me. I'm not sure if that happened. Nice touch with the journal. By the way, Harris listened to Prodigy--no death metal for him. And did this take place in Littletown? I was sure it was in Denver.

I'm running out of room, but sound lost points for the gunshots. They didn't sound as crisp as everything else, though this may have been for artistic purpose.

This is the only movie that made me sad to give it a ten for violence...

No interactivity or humor, which is definitely the way it should be.

Good job overall... please respond to my queries, I'm curious to know how much research you did... did Harris really idolize Natural Born Killers? Were the two really Taxi Driver fans? If so, these little details are spectacular. Keep it up.

wow.

great flashmovie! the animations weren't that smooth but nevertheless this is a piece of art.

and if you liked that movie go watch 'elephant' by gus van sand.
incredible camera, sound, actors, everything. the same melancholic mood, the same quiscence. just WAY better than this still great film here.

Holy crap....

That was Godlike.

I am trying, dear God I am trying, but I cannot find any way to fault that film. Graphics, smooth and sharp, sound and voice acting? perfect lip syn and clean sound.
The sharpest, grittiest way to have told it. I salute you for whatyou have created.

Bloody genius

Just awful...poor little girl.

Not at all what I was expecting. But it was a pleasant surprise. The narration was well done, softly spoken. Black throughout...how appropriate. And the, slightly haunting?, music fit very well. There wasn't anything I didn't like, and I'm tremendously impressed with your style and storytelling ability. And the name "Mister Creazil" is absolutely brilliant. It DOES just seem right.

Thanks for this pleasant (it feels weird calling something like that "pleasant", but it is, because of how well-done it was) addition to my day.

Bitter Reminder

Very well interpreted story.
