Reviews for "Battle for Gondor"

it just doesn't keep my attention...

it's boring in the beginning and it's just not fun to play... i don't really know how u could improve it :(

it's all really good and stuff, but sorry, its just not my fun type of game...

Asvegren responds:

You should give it longer, because it is pretty easy in the beginning.

Too bad you didn't like it.

A very shallow and pointless game.

I can sum up the one and only strategy for every level in one line:

Kill peons and build units (from the most powerful down) as fast as it will let you click them.

One of the most boring games I have ever played. It's a pity... it has potential as a Tolkien-themed Armor Alley clone... but the restricitons on unit building basicly turn it into a 20 min click-and-watch. The only thing you have any REAL control over is killing peons. Which gets VERY boring after say, the 1st level.

All in all a good concept and a great-looking game that fall flat on its face with execution.

Flawed

When I first started playing the game, I found it mildly entertaining. But, from there the game just seemed to go downhill.

As GreenCastle stated earlier, this game was just mindless clicking. If you saw a number light up, you clicked the hotkey and a new soldier popped up. And it didn't make sense that you couldn't go down into the battle. What kind of hero wanders around the battle field killing the equivalent of little children? Afterall, the peons didn't defend themselves in any way, shape, or form.

Then, when my hope of joining the battle was finally fulfilled, the battles were half-assed. In fact, the last 3 missions or so were. One mission my troops pretty much just ran across the map. And against the final boss, I didn't have a health bar and after you spawn every troop, it's impossible to lose.

This game started w/ potential and fell short. Way short.

ditto\/

After level 9 i got bored and let my 8 year old brother play and when i cam back he was at i think was level 15 or so i don't know but thats kinda sad be no offence to my own brother but hes and idiot hehe. If you had made it so that the hero could go down maby the person would get distracted and make it a little more difficult iether way doesn't matter to me not like im gona be playing it 24/7 hehe actualy this will probably be only time i play it honestly

Could've been better.

It needed more variety. Its ok for a hack and slash or for people who are button mashers. Or just the mentally impaired. Please try harder next time. Thank you.
