Nice approach.
Heck, if all lessons in school were this much fun, we'd have fewer kinds dropping out. This should be used by teachers as a nice diversion to lecturing. That said, it's a welcome change to see a Flash animation used for something other than pure entertainment.
The change in music between Mario and hardcore was a bit jarring, but it DID work in for the flight scene. The sprites and background were spot on, and used rather well.
The one minus is the narrator's voice. It really should have been cutesy to keep with the Mario theme. It would have been more effective that way.
All in all, nice job.

Thanks. The music change was supposed to be a little bit jarring. Were you expecting it? My class laughed uncontrollably at such a ridiculous concept like Mario kickin' ass to rock music.
I dunno if I agree with you about Lakitu's voice. He's supposed to represent the boring, monotone, Science Teacher. I'm sure you all know the type.

That was awesome! I have that game on my SNES, That's why it was so fun to watch. Sigh. We had those same subjects at exam last spring!

Excelent sprite work, sound, animation is just too damn good, hehe i think you took the asignment pretty seriusly, or you just needed an excelent grade, haha i don't know, what i do know is that you did an awesome work, it's har to make a movie that is both educational and funny, you did it damn good, i have also made flash movies for school projects (gosh i miss school) but nothing too big, enough to get the entire grade, lay-z-boy is mi middle name hehe, anyway got carried away, good fuckin' job!!

good....
...but not exceptional. it was actually kind of boring. i think its fair to assume that most NG users have taken science before, and its usually covered in the 8th grade. however the idea that a plumber witha cape could break the sound barrier was rather amusing, as was the fact that yoshi's tounge can be used to illustrate a wave.
