Enjoyable
Ascii is a beautyful and fun thing to look at. I can enjoy those graphics even more than some high tech 3D enviroment. Maybe because it's original and clear.
The music was well fitted (I think extra-stylish music would screw up the cosy air of simplicity).
The only thing that bottered me was that I had to start all over if I got hit, but that's because I'm quite the crappy player.
If you would make another game, I'd say that this style is a keeper (even the music), no matter what other people might say!
