A very well done work of art, this is. The whole "overactive imagination" thing reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes (the best comic strip EVER). It's even drawn similarly!

Wow, I really enjoyed that one. Original story, great flash, great execution. The background music and sound effects were really sub par... just kidding, that was also done very well. It reminded me of Calvin and Hobbes in a way.

i cant even exactly explain WHY i liked this so much, but i did. ok, i'll give it a shot...
it combines a ton of different elements into something that seems uniquely... you. it, at points, has a retro comic kind of feel, like peanuts. it also has a very obvious anime influence. and finally, the feel of a children's story book. it's just very interesting and unique. there needs to be more unique stuff on Newgrounds.
the sound was... hmmm... not overly complicated, but still very good and very appropriate.
my only suggestion is this: at some points (for example, when the flying saucer came into focus and was shot down, or some of the backgrounds) you used a more "traditional" flash style, with the smooth, almost textureless colors and shading and the simple, undetailed graphics. i just dont think it blended very well with the style of the rest of the piece. i'm not sure why, it just seemed... out of place. the rest of it is so nicely hand drawn, and then there were those random bits of simple computer animation...
but that's all i've got for you. beautiful job, you'll get front page. i hope to see more of your work in the future.
