Down To Earth Review

Been a long time since my last review. I hope I remember how to write one. Okay, and I hope the movie is good, too. I'm going to assume this is a serious short, so humor won't be much of a factor for the score.

Comments Before Viewing:
"Do Us Part". Hmm, catchy. The unique title is what caught my attention. Or was it the picture of the girl? Or the plot summary? Well, whatever the reason, you have my attention.
As a first submission, I'll be generous in giving you your score. Honestly, nobody expects a first submission to be of LegendaryFrog SamBakZa SuperFlashBros quality (although we hope they are).

Comments After Viewing:
If I could sum up how I felt about this movie in one word, it would be ... 'meh'. But that wouldn't help you improve, would it?

The graphics are above average (no stick figures! yay!), but they lack a certain quality that would otherwise draw the viewers into the movie. But I'm a crappy artist (my stick figures = pinnacle of suckitude), so you'll have to find out what it is on your own. But you got all of the physics right, so that's a plus!

The story is...barely there. The girl wants to commit suicide (why?). She tries various ways, but to no avail. Finally, when she's about to do it, her loved one saves her (how?) and she's in bed. Wait, what? There are too many loose ends here. If something's going to happen, or has happened, answer the basic questions.

A good effort, but it feels incomplete. Serious shorts are supposed to have a clear meaning at the end and a clear story throughout the entire thing. Without these, it simply becomes an animation. But for a beginner, this is certainly better than most other submissions.

My official vote for "Do Us Part" is a 4 out of 5.

The graphics were very good but there wasnt really a story with the movie.
So this woman wants to kill her self why?

i loved it but the only thing i had thought about was the rateing said adault theems but i didnt see any...so ya might wanna get that fixed

I didn't really understand what was going on, ok I get it the girl wants to commit suicide, but something saves here, was it all just a dream? what happend to her husband, why was she wanting to kill herself. I think it was a great attempt at something deep and meaningful, but it just didn't make any sence to me.

good graphics, good music, just needs some more content.

it gives new concept to the meaning of "till death do us part" really it does...I loved it's slow moving anticipation but perhaps at moments like when she was jumping off the building you could speed it up and have her make a running leap or something, whatever.....the only thing that really bothered me was that the shadow on the wedding picture looked horribly fake, it was too perfectly straight and down the middle of the picture maybe if it was sorta angled on it. besides that I loved it
