This movie sucked so hard I had to respond.
I am by nature an online lurker. I NEVER put in my two cents on these things. But this sucked so bad I feel I have to write in. This terrible movie reminded me of every reason I hated going to film school: stupid wise-ass little boys writing unfunny comedy pieces about mundane minutiae in an attempt to be insightful and clever. Not funny. A waste of time. Badly animated. Poorly narrated and that monologue should have at least been edited, if not scrapped entirely. Dude, it's okay to make movies that aren't about anything important, but do it well. Or at least find someone to give you constructive criticism. Your stoned college roommates don't count as an objective audience. And if you find yourself consistently churning out meaningless drivel, consider another career. Film school is overcrowded anyway. You won't be missed.
felt like a documentary
i felt there was no jokes at all. i felt like i was watching a documentary just explaining wat is wrong with public bathrooms. so wat if it is true dosent make it funny. i dont know if im the only one but i hate jokes that just complain about this and that. u didnt make me laugh at all, but wat u say is true but not funny and annoying at the least.
I don't think this deserves to be in the Portal History 2005 collection, as it does NOT stand the test of time. Maybe in 2005 an animation like this was considered funny, but in 2013, it just comes off as the writing of a hack. I can't really imagine the art style looking good even for 2005 - I know comedy flashes don't require top-level art, but this is some of the ugliest artwork I've ever seen. It just doesn't really work on any level.
I looked on your profile and I saw the thumbnails for your 2012 submissions, and it looks like you've improved in your art, which is awesome. If you've got funnier since 2005, that's awesome too. But as for this animation, this is just pure "meh".
I really want to address some of the better parts of the animation, but IMO, there aren't any, really. When your writing amounts to "and what's the dead with toilets, guys? LOL", chances are there won't be any positive factors. If I can get the time I'll check out your newer stuff to see if it's better.
