Its a LAMP spoof of Days of Our Lives. Speaking of, why isint there a motto like," Like the electricity in the outlet, so are the days of our lamps." The original motto ,I get. Real: Days of OUR lives are running out. Days of out lamps: its CONSTANTANTLY coming and going.
