Reviews for "The Child That Smelt Odd"

I must say Firth David, your flashes are they only reason i still go to newgrounds. This one was pretty damn funny, lol they replaced that mans t.v. with a brick. Nice stuff dave, this is the kinda flash that seperates itself into its own little phycotic genre.

Not ur Best Work

This really isnt ur best work. I thought, infact that it was some of your worst, the attemted humour was just crap and the storyline was crap. Please dont make another thing like this again!

David, you crazy bastard, you've done it again!

This was a much more meaningful flash made my Mr. Firth, and his lack of a set direction throughout makes it more intersesting, and it still holds an excellent conclusion for wobbling around in the plot. This doesn't match the boundaries of normal story guidelines, but succeeds them, in a way.

The sound and video compression was incredible, even when there was a large variety of scenes and characters. The sound, my god, was probably the best combination I have ever seen in a flash movie. It wasn't simply a popular song (like most flash movies), and had relevance to the scene. The video was excellently put in, even though it was simple in design. Like most of Firth's movies, it really managed to describe the characters. The movements were fluent, and great detail was put into it (like the mild trembling of the elderly). An excellent show for the senses, this was.

Although the areas touched upon have been used a lot, it was an excellent portrayal of the moral point. The story, what with no twists or complex characters, wasn't to intriguing, but It was still a step higher than what most flash's acheive. This seemed to be more like a giant anecdote from an essay, which is even more impressive, since most essay-like materials are very boring.

In conlusion, I think David Firth should make more movies like this, it would raise the bar for all flash's, and hopefully make Newgrounds more like high quality open source television, and less like a few gold nuggets in a pile of crap. He has gone beyond an enjoyable short, and made this a reference of quality for aspiring flash writers.

I

Very nice!

A bit of a departure from your usual stuff, which was a bold step to take. The humor is great, and the artwork and sound was great. I really liked it. Great work!

You did it once again!

An awesome movie, as every David Firth movie. Where can I select my favorite animators, you're definately it.
