Good Core Skills, Tighten Up Humor a Bit
Stylistically, you blew me away. Every scene looked EXACTLY like the original game, only sharper and with better graphics than the n64 version. The character designs hit on perfectly, again, and the animation had excellent quality that always served the gags well. The cardboard poe's looked hilarious.
The humor, however, falls flat a little to often. I think this happens because of the rapid-fire randomness that doesn't hold on long enough- spot gags fly up without any inspiration, and you completely drop the gag too quickly. As a result you have a half-punchline with no setup. It just looks kooky rather than funny.
Some of the humor worked, though. Navi had some excellent and hilarious moments, and I loved that she did EVERYTHING for Link, and that worked really well as a running gag. The Kill Bill homage also worked, again because you gave it due time and had a setup followed by a punchline.
If you can tie together the writen elements, then you can definitley develop an awesome storytelling style.
