Another great piece! (and it causes me to think.)
I remember reading some of these reviews, and people are commenting on how it's crazy that the hero of our story keeps coming back for more.
Especially in this one, he's come back from being fragmented by a kamikaze self-destruction.
Well, I was watching Madness 3 - Avenger earlier, and I got to the point with the Improbability Drive. First off, Avenger states he was given a second chance (possibly by Savior's "evil" twin), so that explains his first comeback.
(And the clown was probably revived in another process, that didn't zombify him. Or maybe it's a new clown.)
If you remember, though, he never turned off the improbablility drive. He got to its room, but he never actually pressed the switch! The reason he can keep coming back, even from being blown to smithereens is because the Improbability Drive makes it so. Savior is also given that priviledge, as we've seen by his bandaged body.
And, possibly the most telling point? The clown. He survives Apotheosis, despite being Zombified and shot in the face (100% guaranteed to stop zombies cold), yet he gets back up. Do you remember seeing all the crazy stuff after the clown was engaged?
The clown's been affected by the ID so long that he must have an emotional link to it - he's incredibly pissed, and so it kicks into high gear as the world nearly falls off its hinges, and a nightclub crashes down out of nowhere.
One final thought; Did anyone notice Savior's eyes glowing just before it cut to the Hero receiving his sword? That's truly creepy.
