Reviews for "Madness Depredation"

an awesome continuation of the madness series

Depredation is an irrational flash that was done very well. Krinkel's style of animation hasn't changed much, aside from the insertion of new wepons, which is good. I allways enjoyed the "+" faces, and preferred the updated zombies of Madness Apotheosis. The comeback of Tricky the Clown (a.k.a.: "the OMFG Clown") was nicely done, and the apparent insanity of said clown was exhilarating. The music was a nice mix between Madness Avenger's and Madness Apotheosis', while Tricky's music showed the fast paced action of reality being comprimised. Now for all the people saying "this had no plot", or "it's just sensless violence with no meaning", I'm going to atempt to try to explain my take on it, while also summerizing the other Madness'. In Madness Combat, he was probally just pissed and wanted to dance alone. Jesus came because of the amount of killings, and attemped to stop our hero(a.k.a.: "Hank","The Protagonist"). The hero, having "killed" Jesus, thought that he was out of the picture. Now, between Madness Combat and Madness Redeemer, the Sheriff probally put out a bounty on our hearo, or something to that extent. Redeemer has the first apperiance of Tricky, although he is easily taken care of. We also see that Jesus is back and was not killed as previously thought. Now, we're not sure if Jesus is helping the sheriff, or is just still on his mission of eliminating our hero. When our hero is on the verge of killing the Sheriff, Jesus kills him. Now our hero has both a grudge against the Sheriff and Jesus. Between Redeemer and Avenger, our hero is "brought back to life" by an unknown "associate". So in Avenger, he is still out to the get the sheriff, with a secondary goal of killing jesus as well. The Sheriff activates the "Improbibility Drive", which is a nice reference to "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". There are then more references to "the guide", as well as cameo's from two of his other movies, "marsh-mello-madness" and "Breadman". Tricky is also back, although not as easilly disposed of, even more so when he is brough back as a zombie. In the end, our hero kills both the Sheriff and Jesus, however, he also dies. Between Avenger and Apotheosis, Hank is brought back again by his unknown associate. Tricky is also back, but still zombie form. Now I'm not sure if Hank is going after Tricky because he found out that Tricky came back and is the only one left from the Redeemer and Avenger slaughters, or if Hank is after Jesus, because he knows that Jesus can and will come back. The reason I lean more towards Hank going after Tricky, is because when Jesus shows up, both Hank and Tricky are suprised. Either way, Apotheoisis brings about the new style of the zombies, and a nice techno beat. Hank proceeds to kill Jesus, but at teh cost of his own life, while Tricky is still alive. Between Apotheosis and Depredation, Hank is brought back a thrid time, and is bent on somehow destroying Jesus once and for all. This sets the stage for Depredation. Therefore, this flash is not "pointless" nor does it have "no storyline". Hank is going after Jesus. He knows by going and killing more people, Jesus will come to him. Also, Depridation is the first Madness with an all "1337 Crew" cast, excluding Hank, Jesus, Tricky, and the two "unknowns" who try to help out Hank. Tricky, although he is not brought back, for he never died, is somehow changed, or evolved into a insane lunatic, with a different mentality from the Tricky in Apotheosis. My prediction for six, is that it will either be Hank and Jesus vs. Tricky, or a free-for-all between the three. Either way, it should be a crazy climax to an amazing series. Hopefully this review helped out some people with some questions, but if not, then whatev.
