Reviews for "Madness Depredation"

U Poor Thing

Dude that was bad...very very bad... i've seen your other work and they are better. I think you have lost the plot of the story so ill educate you. Madness is ment to be funny and fantastic. Apart from the graphics quite poor. I suggest u look over Madness Combat because that was funny. Long live the techno remix of the Chicken dance. WoOt!!!

hmm.....

Come on krinkels to me i think this just totaly screwed up the series but im not the person making them im just the person watching them and reviewing them.

Still needs improvement.

I had high hopes for you Krinkles. I hoped to see improvement over Apotheosis, and I did, but it still wasn’t enough to top Madness Avenger. The main two problems with this one is it’s to unfocused and the ending.
Focus [Background]: By now, it’d really be good to know who keeps putting Hank back together, as well as why he keeps doing all the killing he does, why he’s stilling killing people when the Sheriff is dead, and so on. Maybe it wasn’t suppose to have a background story, but you stated in Author’s Comments to one of your Madness series that we could expect one to explain Hank’s motive. Especially how he got his “superpowers” in this one.
After 5 episodes and more then 3 years of Madness, one would expect a background story or explanation.
Focus [Episode]: To start off with, the music fit crazy theme, but it was just not the kind of music that made the first 3 great. Not many people can truthfully say they liked listening to it while watching Hank in action, it seemed… out of place.
The most noticeable improvement I’ve seen was the exploration of settings, they don’t just stay in a building in this one, they move through a variety of screens, giving lots of innovation and interesting situations.
But not nearly enough people are killed, only about 60 guys die. There aren’t many creative kills, and that’s because of another problem; not enough guns/weapons. Madness Av. and Ap. involved every kind of weapon except the kitchen sink, but this was limited to a magnum, Uzi 1, Uzi 2, a rifle, and a sword. Nice to hear that you got new sound effects for the guns. After the Club M scene from Apotheosis, I was hoping the sword play was finished, I was wrong, it really brings it down.
Nice to see more hand-to-hand action.
I thought after the Club M scene in Ap., that the Clown wasn’t trying to kill Hank anymore? Seeing as how Jesus Guy and Clown didn’t team up to kill Hank, and the Clown put up no resistance to Hank’s sword.
Most faced paced action ever, unfortunately, if you have a slower modem or processor you’re screwed. But I did feel however, that the action and pacing was set at the right tone and overall had just the right amount.
But what about the red light Hank was looking at, complete with full 180 camera turn? That needs to be explained.

The ending lived up to it’s crazy theme, but come on, it was to random and seemed totally out of place. I really don’t think anyone who’s seen it needs an explanation, I don’t think any normal person would think it’s a good ending. The ending is what dragged it down for me. After a great fast-paced fight, you end it on some weird technicality, the music wasn’t that great here either.
If you decide to end the series with this episode, it’d probably be the worst decision you’d ever make in terms of Flash. Look at what you started out with (Madness Combat) and the following it got. Look at how you improved and all the fans you got over the years of Madness. Do you really want the final image in people’s minds after all the years of uncensored slaughter to be a random non-heroic ending of a quivering clown that killed Hank for some stupid reason you still have to explain, along Hanks’ motive and why he’s killing all the people he does?
You, who stated in the NG Mag Devspot that Redeemer would have been the end if it had not been for the fans, and the same thing for Apotheosis are about to let down a ton of people if this mediocre episode was the last one. I personally love this series and appreciate more then most people, but I’m worried about the direction you’re letting it head in, which is unfortunately downhill.
