Surprised...
Wow. That was incredible. I'm a huge Madness fan. Overall it was amazing. But....although I had originally thought that Krinkles was taking a break from Madness and was going to put off making a 5th, I was a bit disappointed.
GOOD:
1) Graphics and 3d effects were great. Love the animated blood from Apotheosis.
2) LOVE the music. A cheer for Sean Hodges once again. And the sound effects were just what one would expect from a Madness animation, vivid.
3) The costumes. Probably my favorite change from any of the Madness Combats. Hank's costume...fuckin awesome. Jesus...sweeeeeet.
4) Bullet time was a nice touch and I'm now surprised it hadn't been added to the series earlier on.
BAD:
1) This has bothered me since the beginning of the Madness series. The fact that Hank can impale someone by throwing a gun into them. Too ridiculous for me.
2) Too fast. About halfway through the film it was hard to tell what was happening at times. It would be good to simply slow down the killing a bit.
3) The end. My biggest problem. Now, I think it was quite funny and clever how Tricky suddenly became the master. However, the way he killed Hank was just...stupid. By ending the intense, killing animation with: "he gets his head torn off in the blink of an eye" was not so good. I think you could have made the ending alot better. Why not have the Sheriff(having been brought back) suddenly kill Hank from behind or something? I just think you can do better.
I still think this is the second best one so far (Avenger being the best). I was just a bit disappointed mostly at the ending. Oh, and a few questions. Does Tricky have psychic manipulation over all things signpost? And why did a dance club fall onto those two guys in the car? Just wondering, it was funny.
For those of you wondering if he's making another one. I don't believe he is. Quote from Krinkles himself when asked how Hank would come back in a next one, "When a clown kills you. You stay dead." He also mentioned that his next 'toon' will feature the clown almost exclusively. Correct me if I'm wrong.
