Reviews for "There she is!! step 2"

sublime

This was great I saw the first one and it was great too. I hope you make more so that I can watch it too.

Simply Wunderbar!

I don't think I'm capable of properly giving you thanks for such wonderful work. You can clearly define emotion and thought into picture and words far better than anything I've seen in movies or anything for that matter. Your talent and insight cannot go unoticed in your peices.

Thank You for making my day much better!

A magnificent work of art

How magnificent you say? Put it to you this way: I am a 24 year old guy who loads freight for a living and typically enjoys only the most dark and serious of animes and mangas, and I will watch this flash just to put a smile on my face for the day.
What's say we break this down, shall we?

Graphics: "Style" is the word of the day when it comes to the graphics of the flash itself. The author chose to primarily utilize lines and shading, focusing instead upon fluid movements and content (I'll cover that later), using colors sparingly and almost never touching one another. The overall effect being to attract the viewer's eyes to characters/events that have particular significance at any given time. The author used many of the traditional anime tricks of the trade to give the animation a "traditional" feel to it: (A drop of sweat on the side of the face to show awkward tension, fiercely blushing cheeks for overwhelming emotion, twin arches for eyes when a character is happy, etc.). Add to this some hilarious and well animation chase/fight sequences, and you have a near flawless showing.

Sound: What really got me about this flash was how the delivery of the content and graphics could fool me about how subtle some parts of it really were. Example: there were only TWO sound FX in the entire animation (the doorbell and background mummering in the begining). And yet I had to play the thing twice before I believed it. I think a lot of it comes from the way the author emphasizes actions that you KNOW would make a lot of noise.
And then there's the music...one thing I gotta give this author credit for is his impecable taste in music. The intro music was quite appropriate for the occation (the heroine's birthday) and the main music was hilarious and catchy all at the same time. Not to mention that the whole flash flowed almost perfectly with the music. Bravo!

Content: Now this is where the author shows us his true talent. I'm not going to cover everything (I'm running out of room :) ). But each character possess unique qualities which come out almost the instant you see them, as does the main goal of the whole animation (i.e. the delivery a cake to a special young bunny) allowing the audience to get up to speed seconds into the flash. But of course once we get there, the bad luck fairie begins to cause our poor hero increasingly ridiculous (and hilarious) obstacles which serve to dish out punishment left and right. But during these periods we see a lot of the main character's inner qualities shine through. All of this leading up to an endearing resolution and downright adorable ending.
Two things I also noticed was the author's use of homages (look for the little fish in the moon during the "animal chase"), and also the clever little ways in which he conveys complex emotions (at the end, the "bunny gang leader" scowls at a physical speech bubble used by another gang member earlier and punches him out (you'll get it when you see it :) ). Anyway...
10/10

My overall opinion? See my tagline.

I aplaud your effort Amalloc and wish you the best of luck in the future. I expect I'll see your work on the big screen someday.
