Reviews for "TmsT's Zero Wing Rhapsody"

I liked it, but it could have been a lot better.

I just wanted to bump the previous comment.

I'm giving it a 7 overall.

TmsT responds:

You reckon? Cool!!!! Show me some of your work! It must be AWESOME!

BRILLIANT

i loved it!!! making a parody with the boheman Rapsody makes every thing better. And taking the waine's world head bang was even better. Keep up the good work.

LOL!

awsomeness to the pit of my core!

Congratulations:

You have just made me a very happy man, by combining my two favorite things in life.

As limited as parts of this movie are, disregard the morons who are slamming you for it. You have truely awed us again with some outragiously funny shit.

TmsT responds:

A combination that I'm very happy with too. Not even a bunch of braindead crackbabies who drool over guns can make me unhappy! :D

Worst combination of ideas and music video ever.

Holy shit, watching this made me feel like I went back though time back to the beginning of the year 2001, you know, when both this song and idea were funny and worth parodying! All I can say TmsT, is that you're about 4 years to late to spoof both the song and the All Your Base event. This has to be one of the most overrated pieces of garbage I've seen hit the Portal since BunnyKill.

To start off with, this isn't funny at all, in fact, it's more annoying then anything else. For instance, "Main Screen turn on." is said about 25 times. More lines are repeated over and over again to because they were either to lazy to make new ones or they somehow thought their horrible song copying would be better then the original, it wasn’t. No funny moments arise at all, because they stick so close to the original material and rely on a song to get them laughs, it doesn’t work.

Next, building on the repetition of lines, we have what I call lyric dodging. What is that you ask? Well you see, when someone tries to mix a popular script with a popular song (both being used for some reason way over their “popular craze” date) and finds out he doesn’t have enough original script, they simply add a bunch of horribly drawn guys and slow backgrounds into their creation to try to cover up the fact that they’re totally out of ideas and keep themselves limited to the ideas of the original material. They skip the entire beginning lines of the song, and most of the middle. They’re so out of ideas that they even SHOW people playing instruments with limited movement. Think outside the box damn it, it’s ok to add a few things here and there in terms of lyrics, you don’t have to follow exactly the material provided.

The thing that pissed me off the most was the horrible quality of art presented in this Flash. It absolutely sucked ass. Any Flash from 2 years ago it probably had better art then this. You know that when you take steps backwards in animation and art, you really got skill problems. This was even attempted anime graphics, how the fuck can you fail at drawing that? They give not only a bad name to anime I could have drawn with my eyes closed, but themselves in the process. Everyone knows that when you don’t have your own drawing style and/or suck at the one that you currently have, just use anime. The mouths didn’t match the song at all either because they had only two positions: open and closed. Some reviews say this was the greatest art they’ve ever seen, how many Flashes have these “been on NG for 3 days” guys seen? The best examples of bad art is when the guy first plays the guitar time, and the next guy pretending to play one; just awful, awful art.

The singing sucked, period. I know they’re not professional singers or a guys that know how to perfect sound and music with the right software (if they’re either of the two or both, they’ve failed in every way possible), but damn do those guys blow at singing. The Captain was the worst of them. Lines like: “Main Screen… turn on.”, “Take of every Zig”, “[The entire “Moo Zig” repeating sequence]”, and “You know what you do.” What say now the people that said it was the greatest singing they’ve ever heard? Weebl is an example of a good NG singer.

Instrumental sucked at most, if not all, parts; it made me cringe. When you play the song with only two instruments at a time, it leaves much to be desired, and a lot to cover the ears over. The sound quality was horrible to top it all off, you’d get more sound quality out of a MIDI file on Windows 98 then you would listening to this crap.

When Queen made this song they didn't repeat the same fucking lines over and over because they had the creative skill to make new ones, they made the song worth listening to by keeping the flow going, having an interesting story, playing good music and at least trying to make a effort to please. Not having a shitty video to watch along with it helped then, it would have helped here to. In fact, how’d this ever survive Blam/Protect and maintain a score above 2.50/5.00? Fanboys…

TmsT responds:

I didn't read that but I'm sure you put a lot of time and effort into it. Good for you! I rate it 4 out of 10!
LOL XD
