Reviews for "Merry Melony ep.1"

One of the best things I've seen on this site

Really great job, one of the best flashes I have seen on here, and that means a lot coming from me, since I rarely say that to NG submissions. nice to see something different than all the other usual stuff floating around. Well, I wouldn't say different, but you certaintly set your own style, which is like that gritty dark comic book kinda style, and I'm glad I didn't watch some very lame cheesy fight scene involving anime clones.
I always thought that if I would learn flash I would make things like this, try and do something different, create a surreal kind of world to let out the crazy imaginations and visions I have, I liked the sort of magic realism you had going on with the cars and the talking rabbit, really cool stuff. So yea, if you read this review, cool, you should be proud of yourself, great job.
I gave it a 9 cuz I wished it was longer.

Kool!!!

I hope ep.2 will come out soon

Oh my Rod!

Oh my *ucking Rod, that was an aweseome flash. But why alice in wonderland? i know it has to be, since the rabbit and his watch blabla, dont want to spoil anything for other readers.
Overall, its extremely awesome Graphics,Sound and i guess the story will be great as well. Just one thing: it was pretty short, but for 11 days...awesome. im gonna add you to my favorite authors right now! well, after giving you a 5 of course =p

Very Nice Indeed

First off, the animation is wonderful. It really does look good enough to be on TV..

I like this kind of style and creepy, even if it is used a lot more these days; the edgy surreal like environment and characters who are more grey than black or white, as it were.

Imitation is said to be the best flattery, and this does seem inspired of sorts by McGee's Alice video game. The plot, or at least what is shown or hinted, does make me think of the dark look at Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland.

One would hope, however, that the ending of this story will not be as simple as Melony's dying in a hospital room, or at least the journey there will be filled with many wonders that Alice hadn't even seen.

Still, I can understand why this submission ranks among the best at Newsgrounds. It is a very professional looking submission, and the animation, if not so much the story, really draws me in.

huh? i dont get it...

but it was pretty cool though. the animation was good and good voices and sounds. overall, i think this diserves at least an 8.
