Reviews for "Merry Melony ep.1"

Bad-ass.

Well, this is a step up from MallMonkeys. Excellent job, it's got me waiting to see what happenes. You have talent, dude. Keep it up.
By the way, did you just decide to never do that Mallmonkeys movie you were gonna do a while back? Pity, I was looking forward to seeing that.

One of the best flash movies ever made!

This has some series potential to be an amazing series. I studied film and make a lot of movies myself but I like taking things to a more artistic and meaningful light. This is one of those movies that you have to watch it a few times to catch everything and just enjoy it from beginning to end with all the symbolism/artistic points of view. Everything from the story which I'm not sure that there is much of yet because it's only episode 1(but I have some pretty good ideas) to the art is amazing. Keep it coming!

amazing flash man. gj

hey i cant wait for the next episode... great graphics and imagination

Incredible.

This is by far my favorite flash on all of newgrounds and thus far all of the web. It's beautifully artistic and stylized and I cannot wait to see more of it. And I am INCREDIBLEY pleased with the voice acting, one of my biggest pet peeves with most flash videos. Every aspect of this work of art works so well, I'm anxiously awaiting the second episode.

an amazing trip through the mind

I could go on for a long time about this animation. what sticks out the most is the artistic vision. what it communicated to me was a vision of how somebody sees the world inside of their head. Melony is in a coma right? suppose she is for this reviewers sake... The way the boyfriend communicates with her in her subconcious by cellphone! hah! genious. and furthermore thank you thank you thank you for using a completely unique and origional character. "she isn't a level 20 ninja master with the sword of the legendary rat." yet she is far more interesting then any stupid anime action character. and finally, the dark humor suits me. if I may compair to salad fingers... the creator of thoes, David Firth, makes the darkness of his cartoons a little too deliberate. (don't get me wrong, great stuff) but Melony gave me an even more effective feeling of being alone in this huge, strange world, by making it so empty and not quite right.

I have learned much from this first episode, and will apply it to my own work. I havent been this inspired since seeing The Nightmare Before Christmas. >:)
