Not bad
You know, some people just take the numbering review system way too literally.
This was a good film. However, vast improvements can still be made for part 2 (any beyond.) Your animations are quite nice. I like the tone you set with the colors of the backgrounds and the mysterious obscurities with the landscape that took me a second time to watch to notice (what she's sitting on, the house/bridge she walks past...etc)
Speaking of her walking, that tween looks awful. She mysteriously fades into the wall...so unless you're trying to foreshadow that she's a moonwalking ghost, then I'd have to assume you just couldn't get it to work right: not an aspect of being #1. Your style of mixing FBF and tweens was so good up until that moment.
The music and sound effects are quite nice, keep up that creepiness. However, the "twisted Alice in Wonderland" theme has been done many-a-times before, even as it's own game (Alice). So I hope you make this damn good/original.
On it's own, definately not the best I've seen in NG. In fact, this has high potential of becoming another one of those crappy "film noir"-esque flashes done by college students with no conclusion and not even a clear foothold of when the watcher is supposed to fill in his/her own story/plot/explanations. Hope you don't take that route.
High potential of also becoming one of the greatest stories here as well, but your expectations are monstrously high.
