Reviews for "Sweet Mother of Vartan"

the sound

The animation was great the only thing was that the sound was not good, try streaming it before. But its still really good

Most excellent

You're going to be a great around here man. Also, that's something reminicent of the "Bugs vs. wrestling-type guy" cartoon. I loved it. It's rare to have a yo momma joke that isn't crude.

Very very good storytelling

This was very good story telling indeed. I can see that the rythm of the cartoon is very solid and offers a good structure. The animation was seriously good. It looks and feel like a cut-scene in the old point-and-click adventure games. The graphics were in the same style as Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Broken Sword, etc. If I was to comment anything that I see could be better in this flash, I guess it would have to be the sound. The sound-design is not very "tight" in the flash. I don't know if this has something to do with the compressing of the movie. Some sounds that I expected to hear didn't come and kind of threw me off track a little. Like when the little fighter gets punched into the ring and flies towards the "The two ton terror". I was sortof expecting to hear a "Whoosh" sound or something. When the announcer on the left talks, I think his voice is a bad recording. You can hear all of your P's in the mic. Even better sound design could help your heighten your movie even more. But kudos on the scene where you reveal "The two ton terror", that was very good, in terms of the build up to the fight. All in all a seriously good animation. Great job.

Over all, well done.

You didn't do too badly; however, a good animation is only as good as it's weakest link, that being your audio. You need a foam over your microphone, or consider buying a good one (they range from 25-1000 dollars US, then you get into the professional stuff), it's very important to match the sound quality, or else your viewers will have trouble understanding what they're saying if you have guys who like to boost the bass to the point where all they here is "PPPFFFF, KBFFFFF, AAAAHHHBFFFFT". For future reference, that's the only think you really need to think of. (Another suggestion is to just hold the mic farther back, but you lose volume.)

Otherwise, excellent work. Keep it up!

Cool

That was pretty awesome. I enjoyed it, I would say time well spent creating it. Hope to see more from you.
