Let me get this straight.
This is going into production and they are expecting it to be so popular that this five minute movie is going to cut into the profits? I think you need to do some bargaining with these people. I have seen extended trailers/clips for big studio movies (by the studios too) that are longer that you're animation is. Also, by keeping it up the fanbase that is established could be carried over to the production (as opposed to losing many when the submission is removed) I'm just having trouble with why you would be required to remove such a short piece of work (copyright stuff is negotiable if you contact the right people).
