When it started I was sceptical... since I had no background info, but the animation was very fluid and well thought out esp. the sword movement while running, the connection between the characters is sublime, but the blush in the end clarifies it.. btw LUV the animé-like slightly unrefined styling, it adds character

After all this time this is still one of my favorite pieces of all. Touching, sweet, smooth, and it doesn't say any more than it has to. Just a simple story that can only be told the way animation can do it. Absolutely perfect.
BTW, for others, here's a (rough) translation of the lyrics I got from listening:
