Reviews for "Invasion 3"

Nice but kinda dry...

Fun and original idea that needs work. The problem I have is this: There is not much strategy because every unit dies with one arrow and one pot of boiling water can take out ten guys. The concept is good, but if I am going to pay alot of money for expensive cavalry units they better last more than one hit, plus the rams are too vernable, never have I seen one arrow decimate an entire battering ram, designed for the sole purpose of taking and dishing out a beating. I love the design and it would be great if you could tweak it to be a little more logical.

way to easy

it was fun, but easy, and archers are like cheap cannons but better, and if you buy only archers you have no choice but to win... or surrender, and what were barracks and stuff for cause they enver did anything

to slow

runs too slow :(

Must agree with coorperatehipster

It's a good game with potential, but easy figure out. My strategy was to buy only archers and in the higher levels buy enough fletcheries so that I have enough money left over for 40 archers. It's a good balance with power and sheer numbers. I actually got up to level 50 before I got bored. But it is a good time waster as it is.

Meh

A good idea, but flawed in execution. The problem is that the best tactic is to simply beef up your archers and keep on pumping them out by the hundreds. No matter how many arrows the castle flings out, it keeps on dying all the same. I managed to get to level fifteen building nothing but archers and fletcheries. I have no doubt that I could have beaten the game with that strategy.

It didn't make producing any other sort of unit really all that necessary. I eventually started experimenting with other combinations, and found that there is significant potential for teaming up units. Infantry and battering rams are a good one. Battering rams and saboteurs are another nice combination. Nonetheless, archers were just so much easier to produce en masse and that became my default strategy.

I suggest a slightly more balanced approach. I'm not sure how the upgrade system works, but I suggest making each successive building more and more expensive. It would help prevent swarm tactics with the same unit. Additionally, I suggest a better system for buying units. Something along the lines of each unit becomes more and more expensive as it goes on.

Otherwise, it is a standup game with a bunch of potential.
