Even if people questioned that he needed help, he seems like he would have rejected it and hidden any hatred to avoid the subject. It doesnt matter, sad events are part of life, theres always going to be a few bad eggs. I do think however, that they should make it much harder for people on anti-depressents to get weapons though. I mean, "Hey, I'm really sad. How much is that rifle?" seems kind of ridiculous, and yes, I know that's not how he got the gun, but still, I'm sure somebody understands what I mean.

Penny Bain better keep her fat-ass away from this though.

Depressing

I feel really bad for the kid and I dont think he deserves any insults. I just really wish there were other ways for people with issues to get rid of them. Suicide is one thing, but taking others lives with you is just wrong. I don't blame it on the kid though, nor do I blame the fact that guns are easily obtained. It's all in the environment..the kids you are with. He just needed some attention, but instead he was ignored. We all do it and it's always been done. It just hasnt been this extreme untill recently. I agree with some of the others give the kid some respect...he's dead.

a troubled mind?

you know, the media's going on and on about how this is an obvious warning sign... but fuck, this really isn't any different from other movies on here. hell, even i've done a shoot'em up! but i sure as hell aren't about to walk over to my school and open fire.

to the media: LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR ANSWERS! i know this is an easy target, but it's nothing extraordinary and is not as difinitive a warning sign as you might think.

People are ignorant

Many reviewers are trying to talk to someone who's dead, telling him that he was a maniac and deserves to be dead and it rotting in hell right now. Really, you aren't ones to talk. You don't know this kid so you aren't to judge if he was evil, insane, or just plain stupid.

Here are some facts you should know about him before making comments about what he did and why he did it:

1. His father committed suicide four years ago.
2. His mother is heavily brain damaged from a car accident and is laying in a hospital.
3. Jeff Weise attempted suicide over a year ago but failed, after that he was put on anti-depressant medication.
4. Jeff Weise did have Nazi views, but there is no real link between Nazi views and what he did, though the fact that his views were open to others and ignorant people ridiculed him because of his views may have been the cause of his incident.

Many people are posting ignorant and hostile views about him right away without even knowing anything about him or what caused him to do this. Please be more open-minded.
