Reviews for "Fallen Angel: Teaser"

WOW...

WTF are you on... must be good to come up with this i cant belive the quality of this the smoothness is kinda sketchey at times but god thats good you should seriously concider a tv show

Healthy Competition?

Hey, that was awesome! This probably the only movie i actually sat through the credits for!
I just wanted to explain a few things about why i rated it the way i did. You definitely have the skill to create stunning graphics for use in flash, the style was okay, the reason why is because i have seen so many post-apocalyptic scenarios that it eventually looses its appeal, some of the sound was a bit choppy, but i still send out my congrats for having the hindsight to use fx from movies that emmulate your project (not many do) nice and violent, but i am a horror freak and would like to see some hellraiser quality (just a thought) and i found it rather hilarious when the truck exploded (being a goth and all). Any ways, i am currently working on a similar project with creatures and vampires (sounds kind of cliche as well i know, but the main character is a female detective, it has been done before but not as often) If you are looking for some competition or collaboration maybe i could be of assistance just email me okay?
bye!

Good

Super Graphics and lots of violence =D

nice animation,

how much of the artwork did you do youreself, cos i recon over half the production is provably just a load of traced bitmaps (photos pctures) with a few simple animated bits in photoshop, thats why it has a quality feel to it, but ether way theres a lot of time put in to it and i can see that you did create the main character, like the manga slyle. good work

RobsH66 responds:

I did just about all the artwork myself, except for a couple of sprites (more specifically, the smoke and dust sprites, which were imported from a game) and the 3D vehicles and weapons, which were rendered in Swift 3D (although I did add a lot of detail by hand once the models had been imported into Flash).

All the characters and some of the backgrounds were drawn on paper and then imported into Flash, where they were outlined, colored, and shaded. The rest of the backgrounds and other assorted art was drawn directly into Flash.

I did not use Photoshop very much; it was primarily used for the creation of the two blur effects I used in the animation (the focus shift when Sera spots the dead body, and the camera blur during the shot from the wounded soldier's POV).

The only traced bitmap in the movie was the sunset-colored sky used in the intro sequence.

Greate art

Very smooth flash. This is one of those flashes what I could watch over and over again and never get bored to it.

You should fix the slight errors though. For example, the scene where the girl reloaded the shotgun, but then ran to cover behind the broken car without the shotgun.

Small mistake, but... not a perfect flash.

I can't wait till you're done with the full version. Remember the small errors, ok.

RobsH66 responds:

Actually, if you look closely you'll see that the shotgun is strapped to her back when she runs behind the car.

I'm all about the little details :)
