This, this is why I take my time writeing reviews.
I've seen things come and go on this site. The rise and fall of series since the origonal trailer for Arogancy (hope I spelt that right) and I say to you, this is a gold plated flash masterpiece. Breakdown:
Graphics: The smoothest and most detailed piece of work I've seen in years. CouldNineKill and company did an excelent job in giving us just enough of an action packed preview to keep the general viewing public on the edge of their seats begging for more like starving dogs under the dinner table. Whats most amazing is the file size you managed to reduce this down to without loosing any to the detail! I commend you sir, this is truely your best area.
Style: Can't say honestly an action paced half anime style aniamtion is "frest" per-say but this is a groundshaker for newgrounds without a doubt. Within a few weeks this'll be more or less forgotten by the twelve second attention spans of todays youth but come out with real episodes and you'll have them crying for t-shirts!
Sound: Okay tell me your secret here... no seriously! Cmmmooonnn... I won't tell nobobdy... cmmooonnn! How in the heck did you get such extensive and excelent music and sound effects in such a small filesize!? How!? My only theory now is that you're magic O.o... witch! Witch! Burn 'em! Burn 'eeeemmmm!
Violence: Oh god where to start... okay for the durration of this portion of the review I shall be one of those guys who thinks "Fight Club" and "Terminator" were the greatest things ever.

Wow :D You definitely covered all the bases with this review. However, it sounds like there was a bit of a misunderstanding in regards to who did what for this movie. I was actually the one who did all the animation/graphics stuff, and the people listed in the credits contributed by giving me generous assistance and helpful feedback whenever I needed it. They also contributed many of the ideas that came together to form the basis for the Fallen Angel story, and offered assistance on many other levels, such as sound mixing. However, as far as actual construction of the movie goes, I did all the dirty work (which would explain why it took an entire year...although I've sped up my production process considerably since then).
Anyways, that being said, I can reply to your various questions. In regards to the sound- I didn't really do anything special, other than reusing sounds as much as possible (without using them so much that the sounds became repetitive) and setting the compression level to 56k mono.
As for what started the series... that's a very long and complex story, one that I'll cover in its entirety once I have the FA website online. Until then, I can give you a short summary.
Basically, after I finished the Hunt I decided I wanted to make a short action movie to pass the time until I came up with a better movie idea. However, once I started the actual process of animating, I began to think of ways to develop the history and main character, and before I knew it, I had enough ideas to make an entire series. So that's what I'm doing now. The teaser episode is the finished product of the action movie that I started over a year ago, and it serves as a humble preview of what I have planned for the coming years.
