-female counterpart to mad max
WOW, this is almost television quality work! O.O
This is possibly one of the best teasers ever to show up on this site, and I mean ever! Your work has improved dramatically over the course of "The Hunt", and this is possibly worth of the hall of fame. I mean, the graphics, sound, effect, all A+++ work, a very anime-istic feeling, but not the bouncy kind, which is a very good complement to the upcoming series. It reminds me of Mad Max, in a way, but with more violence, and set in a later time. One thing though; I noticed the main character, the woman, carried a German World War MP-40 type submachinegun... Was that intended? I don't think an MP-40 is a cheap and easy gun to get, but it adds originality. I would like it if you would keep it original, because god forbid you use the M4 and the AK-47 over and over again... XD. Try Securityarms(.)com, it has many pictures to get reference from. Keep up the good work, it will get you to high places.
Thanks, glad you liked the movie!
In response to your question about the gun: I partly put it in there for originality (I too wanted to avoid using the standard M4/AK weapons), and partly because it's difficult to find specific 3D models on the web (at least ones that don't cost ridiculous amounts of money), and in my search for a good SMG model this was about the best one I could find that looked cool and hadn't been overly used in other movies. I didn't have the ability to create my own 3D models back when I was working on this episode, so I was limited by the models I could find online for free or cheap; but now that I've begun to learn the art of 3D modelling, I'll be able to fabricate my own models, which means that future episodes will have a much more consistent and unique theme for the weapons and vehicles, as well as all other elements of the Fallen Angel world.
very nice
loved the visual part of the movie, but it lacked plot. i know it's just a teaser, but shouldn't it have something even just remotely related to the plot?
This is everything.
I have longed to see talent like this on NewGrounds. My friend, you are sitting on a gold mine of skill. use it wisely.
Two questions, i hope you read this,
*****
Q: What frame rate are you using?
Q: was it mostly Frame by frame animation?
A: 18 FPS.
A: I used quite a few different techniques in animating this movie. It was mostly a combination of frame-by-frame, tweens, and animated 3D models (created using Swift 3D).
