AUTHORS! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS
Ok, here's my attempt at trying to make you guys open your eyes a little.
First of all, I would like to say that your flash has really smooth and natural animation. I don't want that to be lost in this review. I enjoyed your style and I can tell that a lot more work was put into this compared to about 95% of what's being put on this site.
So now that that's out of the way, here comes the criticism. This is not to piss you off, and I don't want you guys to hate me or anything, this is just some advice. You guys need someone else to write for you.
Don't get me wrong, you know how to "write" write, as in you know the language (compared to about 95% of what's being put on this site), but you don't have the comedic timing as someone like Knox.
And the opposite can be said about Knox, he's a funny guy, but he doesn't know how to make quality animation.
To make an anamation really work, you need both quality animation and writing. Just because you re-use tired jokes that you heard on The Simpsons, use stereotypes (ie: Canadian's saying "aboot", which by the way, we don't) or use video games as comedic references that appeal to gamers, doesn't mean that it will turn out funny. To be honest, most of the people who give this a 10 for humor probably just saw the references to FF and other games and thought "I remember playing that game, that's sooooo true! LOL!!1one!!1"
Being a writer as I am, I know that I'll never be an animator, because I don't have that type of talent. That is why I don't have any flash animations on this site. So don't be discouraged, that is just how the industry is. I mean, as an example, do you think that the animators of The Simpsons are also the writers? No. Just as they have professional animators, they also have professional writers.
But I'm sure you already knew that.
So here is my suggestion. Get someone to write it for you. Like Knox. See if he will do it for you. That would actually earn a spot in the top 10 in my opinion. Maybe it'll even be the #1 flash on this site. Just a suggestion though.

I appreciate your comments, but we will never get other people to write it for us. Knox may be funny, but do you really think it would work for Decline? It seems to me that you just find Knox funnier than Decline - thats fine, but it doesn't mean Knox should write other people's stuff. We take a great pride in our work and try to avoid seeking outside help, especially in large quantities. Try and see this for what it is, instead of thinking "hmm I like Knox better" ok? Plus loads of people DID find this really funny, so I see no need to make any major changes on the writing front.
Also - about the "aboot" Canadian stuff - do you think that joke was directed at (or against) Canadians? Do you honestly think we beleive that Canadians have flappy heads and beady little eyes? No! In fact we have many Canadian friends. That scene was directed to South Park fans, as a tribute to 2 people that have inspired us and made us laugh for years, Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
I hope you can see why we do what we do.

your right about ffxi i like the game it has a lot of cool features it plays really well but its hard to do anything in that game cause of the in game economy. And wtf is with you guys and nintendo havent you ever heard of halo 2. or if you are gonna stick with gamecube at least go for the imports. Naruto 3, best fighting game, ever

A lot of people mention the lack of Halo jokes. Well, basically, we don't include games unless we produce some genuinley funny material for it, and so far, we've left Halo alone. That doesn't mean we'll never do some, but I can never say which games we'll include next time because writing jokes for games is unpredictable!
