Reviews for "Exmortis"

Wow....

This is a truly unbelievable flash. I didn't really know what to expect when I viewed it, but I was in kind of a survival horror mood (playing RE for the past few days).

HO-LY SHIT!

This was incredibly scary. You really pulled off the atmospheric kind of scary feeling that Blair Witch tried to pull off but failed. This is going to have me looking over my shoulder just like Silent Hill does.

Kudos, dude. You should be a plot writer for horror movies or something...or you could program more games like this. It was great. Keep up the amazing work!

good but

really good start, but:
a) it's WAY too dark. I get that you're trying to make it scarier, but it makes gameplay too hard.
b) because it's too dark, I didn't notice a lot of the symbols (I guess that falls into gameplay) and it took me forever to start to figure things out.

...I never even ended up finishing because I couldn't get past the cellar.... I couldn't figure out the pentagram/book part. Now I'm just annoyed and quit.

Honestly, good start, but needs some tweeking.

not quite SCARY but...

but it's missing the REAL scary factor, the creep factor, you know what I'm talking about, this flash wasn't scary, it STARTLED me a few times, but that doesn't make something scary, startling is just another cheap scare, I never once felt fear of turning the next corner, or opening something, all I felt was expectation of something to pop out, and I wasn't too far off on my timing either haha.

but even with all this I've said this is still VERY good, my suggestion would be to do something about the aura of the game, that usually adds to creep factor, I don't really know WHAT you could do, but waking up somewhere is kinda overplayed.

cool creepy game

wut is this pentagram u guys speak of? i have done everything n cant find nothing else.

NG goes survival horror

This was a good attempt for a horror game. Although short, it was still intriguing and entertaining. The load times for each room could have been faster (for time purposes), but it did add a little to the eerieness of the game. Maybe if there is a sequel, you could add a few more hallucinations or some sort of fear factor (not to steal the name) to adjust to the player and add to the horror.
