Super scary! I almost pissed myself at the end XD
Ahhh...the old memories came back as I played this game. This is one of the very first flash games that I ever played, and it introduced me to the "horror" genre of flash games.
The tone for the game is really grim and mysterious. A balance between quiet mystery-involved exploration and brutal violence presented throughout the game is pretty matched. Also, the puzzle solutions were seen all through each scenes of the game! As I continued my search to find the clues, the visual symbols and (in-game) books helped me a lot.
However, the slow translation from one place to another (like if I have to leave the one room to another room) was a bit clutchy. Moreover, there might be a script bug in the game that forces the players to click the clues in the RIGHT order as the game has intended them to. Otherwise, they might have a little problem at proceeding the game (For a primary example, I had a hard time getting to the basement room).
Nevertheless, a great horror game! I loved the story and settings behind the game, as it continued to the second one.
