Holy Crap.
I'm not one for flash games, but this thing had me captivated until the end. The graphics were sharp, and suberbly done. The sounds used were really too fucking much, probably the scariest element of this game. And the plot/storyline actually had me leaning foreward in interest.
In short, I nearly crapped my pants when I got the alternate ending. You are the master of this field.

your game is very good and freaky. for that i hate you for giving me the worst case of paranoia ive ever had in my life. now i have to do everythign with all my lights on and my door barracaded and i dont want to look behind me for my paranoia is getting to me. gj all in all
Scarier than Silent Hill
I quit right after I entered the house. Is there a version of the game where you KNOW nothing will jump out at you?
I LOVE IT
i watch every scary movie that comes out and play every scary game, but i never get scared... i just dont scare easily. (except for Fatal Frame 2, i jumped a few times).
so i started this game thinking, "oh i bet it is gonna be another one of these gay not scary games"
i was wrong
that was the creepiest flash game i have ever played. the graphics were amazing, and for the first time ever in the history of flash games, i jumped when that guy appears at the end of the hallway. the story, although you said you made up as you went along, was quite well thought out. the puzzels were good, and the best part was undoubtedly the sound. the effects you had going really made this a creepy game. im pretty sure you didnt draw everything, so i am assuming most of the screens are picture. and if they are of your house, it looks quite spine tingling to live there.
i was planning on making a game similar to this (the Myst type first person stuff) and i wanted to get people scared. i was hoping to have it done by halloween, but unfortunately, i dont think i could do as good of job as this.
i truly loved this game, it is going as my #1 favorite. if you dont make more i think i will have to decapatate someone and send you the head... no just kidding. AMAZING WORK FOR FIRST GAME>>> end

I have done everything in order, read the books in order, interacted with Gwen, and I still cannot get through the basement door. Awesome job though.
