This game never fails. I've played it over and over and yet I still find myself scared while playing. Best point and click horror game out there by far.

Even after 3 years, this game still manages to blow my mind. I can't tell you how many times I have played this game, it's just that great. Dark atmospheres, music, and of course, some of the most realistic art that we've ever seen. And to think, that this was your first flash game! That is fucking impressive. Now that people have figured out different ways of making realistic graphics though... I think it's safe to say that this one uses it the best. Unpredictable pop-ups, and ambient noises also give the game that trademark fear effect, that just can't be duplicated. Puzzles that really give the player the freedom to use his mind to get from one place to another, and of course, reading the books that will clue you in on the backstory and overall plot of exmortis. I've played a ton of horror point-n-clicks, but this one still sits on top as the king, even to this day. Overall, exmortis is amazing. It laid down a foundation for point-n-click adventure games, and is probably, if not, the best in the genre.
