Reviews for "Exmortis"

Very Good

There are a lot of wannabe horror games(not just on NG, there's plenty on consoles), but this wasn't. It wasn't really scary, but it isn't bad. I liked it but couldn't get very far. Good job hope to see more games from you.

Good Game

Pretty damn good! Especially for your first flash game, quite impressive. The Graphics were really good and the sound was nice as well.

There was only one thing that really bugged me about the game, the book of Exmortis.

On the cover you had an Upright normal pentagram, a symbol that means peace, that just seemed to clash for me, you could even out it all simply by inverting that pentagram like the others in the house.

One other annoyance was the things you had to click on, some of them were so dark that it was near impossible to notice them.

Other than that, quite a good game, and quite an impressive amount of skill and dedication put into it.

Nice job!

Excellent game-play

This is easily one of the best examples of utilizing flash as an interactive gaming medium that I've ever seen on newgrounds. The graphics generate an amazingly chilling atmosphere, the sound effects are genuinely creepy, and the storyline is very engaging.

Excellent work. I hope to see more from this author in the future.

Very nice game and well made.

For your first flash game you did a great job. More games like this should be made!

The visuals are top-notch and appropriate for a fecked up house of damnation ;) The sounds effectively set up the bone-chilling atmosphere. As for interactivity, I don't have any complaints; simple point and click. The controls are straight-forward, and thankfully there isn't any annoying "pixel-hunting."

I found the story interesting. I especially enjoyed reading the hunter's journal. Only complaint is the font for the other books; found them somewhat difficult to read, but not terrible. I totally dig that you put an alternate ending, which I believe more games like this should have. This game is kind of short, and could use a few more puzzles. Thank you for making a walkthrough for this game; appreciate the inclusion of details for events and summaries, unlike other walkthrus which simply list a series of commands.

Final Word: Take an ominous atmosphere, some gruesome visuals coupled with hair-raising sound, add a dash of puzzles, then put it all in a goose-pimpled package, and you'll have this game, Exmortis.

Scary as Hell!

This flash game takes the concept of Found Lost and takes it a few steps further. Well done!
