Reviews for "Exmortis"

I knocked ya down a number.

It was because the music was there. I mean, the sound of Zombies made my blood run cold (usually from my heart to my hands and down my legs) and I like it. But then the music pops up.

Very tense.

This is the first time I've finished this game.
I played the second make first, and it was just as well done.
The graphics were simply amazing, and the sound just set the mood. There was no need really for music or anything. The fact that it was almost completely quiet made it even more creepy.
Also, I have absolutely no idea what the thing was in the hallway, but it just randomly showed up out of nowhere and scared the shit out of me.
A very tense game...
The only reason for the humor rating was because of the head in the microwave. :] The concept of a head in a microwave is just funny.
I can't wait for the third.

DAMN

Damn man that was some fucked up creepy as shit!! i think i need to change my draws cuz that scared the shit outa me!!! well done

A facinating take on an old cliche.

At first, I had doubts about this game. It seemed like another point-and-click "amnesiac in a mysterious house" cliche. By the end, I had realized how creative it really was.

The graphics are very professional. For example, the interior of the safe looked like a safe with a book and human heart stored inside instead of a picture of a safe with a book and human heart pasted on it.

The style is just as good, if not better. As you proceed through the house, you find numerous intriguing things, each of them adding depth to the plot. As you read the journals of the previous occupants, you come to a chilling realization of what the house really is and what kind of danger you're in, and you shiver and think of how you could possibly win even though its just a game.

The sound is very nice as well. Granted, towards the beginning it appears shallow, until you hear the horrifying "Wake up!", the threat of an enraged and charging camper, or the conversation with Vlaew.

The violence is quite prevalent as well, but none of it is unjustified and all of it serves to advance the story, and that's fine in my book.

Proceeding through the game requires nothing but interactivity, making it very high, though the game could use a few more puzzles.

Humor is not needed in a horror game.

Overall, the game is remarkably interesting, and leaves the player shaken, frightened, and with quite a lot to think about.

Awesome

This game scared the crap out of me when I first played it, classic suspense horror. I love it.
