The odds that you won't be able to make a living from your animation at some point are between slim and none.
There are maybe a half dozen animators on NG that are going somewhere. You're three of them.

Man, that was the best graphics I seen in a flash. It all ran so smooth, especially the fight scenes. Dude, I bet you can make a kickass samurai flash.
