Good Job!
First off, I liked the movie. It was a very high-quality peice of amination. That said, heh, I'm going to apply some constructive criticism. Humor, interactivity and violence need no attention, your graphics were more or less perfect (or as perfect as Flash allows), so I'll get right on to style and sound, the only places you could use improvement. The sound effects were acceptable, but the rather mudane soundtrack didn't flow, which was one of the main style problems of the movie as well. The dark-outs and snipits of the king with this chessboard broke up the action; they are a sound idea, but something to carry us through those would have been good. Sounds, music, ect, just to through out some ideas. And that brings us to the only real gripe about the movie, which other people have picked up on as well. Anime is great, I personally like it, but there is anime and anime. In my opinion, you rely too much on the cheaper anime idioms to get your point across. Striking down arrows with a sword should be used sparingly, and really, we have seen SO DAMN MANY "Jump-Jump-Taching!-Taching!s" that I just wanted to strangle you for polluting such a good movie with such a worn out cliche.
To paraphrase:
Great movie, great concept, ok sound, but loose the cliches.
Thanks for an excellent movie, and keep improving!
