Reviews for "Moonlight"

Oh hell YES!

Jerry you magnificant bastard thank you. I was begining to doubt NG produced this kind of stuff anymore! I was put down a bit after just reviewing "Bubble Tea" and this got me right back up. Breakdown:

Graphics: I could kiss you if I wasn't stright. I love your style, never gets old. And it's improveing all the time. The blending, the movement, the advanced view of the human body in motion, even the horse frame in motion it's spectacular. Make more of this please.

Style: So good it just has to be fattening. Your style of animation and plotline are just wonderful. Within fifteen minutes you got me to care for the hero, to cheer when he victored, and to cry when he fell. The hero cycle at it's best. I thought at several points you were going to give us a cliffhanger and continue in another spot but nope! Good to see you still got it.

Sound: Heres your downfall with me. The music, A+ but the voices and sound effects... the begining just didn't do it for me. I mean the point where he's walking through the woods you want to instill a point of silent divine. A lone warrior, full of keen sences and cat-like reflexes. The shifting sound and turning sounds are too bold, bland, meant for something else. Invest more time in finding better sound effects.

Violence: Excelent work with the blood, swords, just the everything. I was especialy impressed with your new use of propper wounds. In the ending scenes where you get a full view of how sevire the hero's wound is was well done. My only tick is the king. When he dies it should be a big stab scene, the evil is gone, in his last breath he thanks the hero THEN falls. But great.

Interactivity: Closest to ten I've ever given without pause, ff, and rw. The loading menu in the start was just breathtakeing. I know it must have taken a long time. Wonderful.

Humor: N/A, but 5 cause I like ya so much.

Overall the best piece of non-series or volumed flash in a very long time. Keep it up!

P.S. What was your inspiration for this piece? Just felt the itch to make a warrior piece. And oh... I like how you do faries ^_^

Wow....

The first and foremost on my favorites list is going to be this....

stunning....

hands down THE best flash ive ever and probably will ever see...

great

I'm suprised you finished this so fast. non the less, this reminded me what a good flash movie is like.

Impressive

Even if it's only for the effort, I think this movie deserves a 10.

The graphics and animation are quite stunning, with the specific style that can be seen in your past flash animations. I think you have always been improving, though - which is normal. There is a bit too much time with that close-up on the knight's face when he's still hooded, but that's just about it.

About the music, I think its good enough. The voice acting is average, and there seems to be some gasping in the sound playback, but it's hardly noticeable. And a little remark - there is too many bell ringing in the movie :P If you had kept it for the beginning and perhaps the end, the effect would have been a lot better.

Some scenes in this movie remind me of Bersek, but oddly enough, the main character reminds me more of Zidane Tribal from FFIX (at first glance). The fight with the centaur girl was pretty cool, even though it was a bit stupid for her to have her face covered - it would make it almost impossible for her to see anything, so it would work as a disadvantage. She wasn't wearing any armor in the rest of the body anyway. As for the fight against the king, it seems to be all good, but in the end, when the king is stabbed, we hear a 'CLING' sound (two swords hitting against each other) and then both characters land and after a while the king collapses. I think the sound that was heard was not appropriate, since the sword actually stabbed the king - unless the king is made of metal!

Overall, it's another job well done from one of the good artists of Newgrounds. Keep them coming!
