Reviews for "Moonlight"

i'm a sucker for eye-candy, but...

the animation skills and ability to draw are all above average, and this movie, visually, was very nicely done. but every single other thing is beyond trite, in all ways: animation, story, dialogue... it's just so stupid. drawing like that is not your own "style" and neither is any anime. it's a canon that is repeatedly copied over and over, lending no individual style. if you're influenced by anime/manga, ok. but incorporate it into your own style, that being something unique to you. also, the whole story was just a collage of other similar stories. a guy wants revenge, sets off alone to fight the villain, is encountered by obstacles, fight scene, fight scene, lather rinse repeat, fight scene..then kill the villain. because he has to. there's no other option, right?. so right away we don't care. it's just not worth reusing yet again. and the dialogue might just be the worst. more borrowing from anime there, with the hero's brief and cocky, yet extremely vague, catchphrases. and why do the heroes always have to do that dumb little laugh before talking? you just wanna slap 'em. or how about yelling "well...?" at unseen bad guys? who does that? is he in a hurry to fight AGAIN? i know i always yell down dark alleys at night, cuz if i'm gonna get mugged on the way home, they better hurry up and do it cuz i'm a busy guy. just work harder next time on your own style, your own story and you should be better off. maybe even a series eventually. if it was something original and interesting, i'd watch more.

Wonderful

This movie was absolutely beatiful! The animation ran so smoothly and I was very impressed by the action sequences. Especially the one with the centaur. This is one of the best Movies I've ever watched!

Stunning

A beautiful narrative! But what REALLY gets me is the song at the end--I know this song! It's "Untouched" by Jogeir Liljedahl--which you can find at Modarchive-dot-com. Such excellent taste.
This movie is deep, dramatic, and exciting. The action sequences are very well choreographed and the animation is so smooth, so sharp and well defined, you'll never doubt that this is anything short of a professional masterpiece unless you TRY to. The choice of some sound effects perhaps isn't the best it could have been, but to seriously claim that such depreciates it overall is to make a desert of a grain of sand. This was TRULY immersive, drawing you into the story and the scenes. It has been nothing short of inspirational for a sword and sorcery enthusiast such as I! Bravo! Excellent work, Granfaloon!

That was sooooooooooooooooo cool! I wish it were a series cause it leaves questions like why is the king evil? and who are all those random ppl? Still COOL!
