Great work here, but I feel as though maybe I shouldn't have barged in on this part of the series. He sacrificed himself so quickly. I better not see him in a sequel, though, after being shot and such so much.
I love seeing this sort of thing with the whole kill-fest, plus people making up very unique ways to be killing a lot of people at once. Guns aren't used that often, but when they are, it's always delightful to see.
The character design is good; Create an image for people in generic terms that can apply to everyone's appearance. Then you can just add on little details that make the character appear to be unique.
