The best!
This is what you call a true madness film! Great job, Krinkels! Keep it up!
Wonderfull
Some ppl say Avenger is better, more creative and stuf like that. I dont agree. this is a whole nother leage from avenger. avenger was cute. this is great. the cinematic stuff gave it a different atmosphere, it made it darker, more serious. this all made the ending with the clown that much better. It was to short, of course, the greatest stuff always is, but you cant expect everything to be perfect, I suppose.
Not Avenger
I see Apotheosis is down below avenger. I think the reasons are pretty obvious. For one, it wastes to much time in making it cinematic, a little is fine, but this was just overkill. It was too short, I dunno the actual length, but avenger just felt much longer.
The biggest gripe I had was the lack of creativity in the death sequences. What was most amazing about Avenger and even Redeemer was just how many ways the hero found to utilize the objects around him to kill his opponents. In this one he spins around in a circle and kills everybody *yawn*. I would suggest stripping away the the cinematic nonsense and just going for the killing spree that we saw in the last 2. Avenger is still number 3 in the top 50, so obviously there's not much reason to mess with the formula.
Okay, so there were some great moments, but not nearly as many as Avenger. I hate to say it, but this was a letdown.
I do love it, Krinkels. I do love it.
I'll start this off simply by saying that I love the Madness series.
It's so simple...and yet so very entertaining.
It's mindless violence, but it's not disturbing. Despite the fact that so many nondescript characters have died throughout the course of the Madness series, each new episode brings a smile to my face.
Watching the Hero blow himself to smitherines did sadden me, though...will there ever be a Madness 5, or has our Hero ultimately failed in his mission to shoot the Sherrif and keep him dead?
I'm pretty sure there WILL be further sequels...it's not like the Hero hasn't died before, right? I mean, c'mon...he got shot in the head in the first story-based Madness, then he was impaled on a sword in the second. Something tells me he'll get a third chance.
I hope..
Overall, another fantastic toon from Krinkels.
Please, keep this up.
Thanks for the lengthy review, Chimpbot! And just soz you know, there is another madness in the making. I will divulge little about the plot, or charicters involved.
But because I felt a little disapointed with Apotheosis, I will be spending a larger amount of time on MC5, trying to make it the best one of the series, I just hope I can actually do that.
