Ohh Boo hoo
I can only really take so much of this sub-culture stuff. Sure, technically this movie was very well made, but the subject matter is very cliched.
I just get tired of my time being wasted on these sappy anti-establishment and teen-anger rips. Grow a pair and deal with it.
The sex part at the end made me grin though.
Not as brilliant as many think
The struggle of a non conformist has never been animated more stylish than in this particular flash. Stylish it is without a doubt. Superb use of tweening, 3d and black and white colors to create the proper atmosphere for the thing.
But what this animation unfortunately lacks, and i think you know it too, is depth. When whe leave the visual spectacle behind what do we have left? A short, almost cliche movie, in which the helpless non conformist is showed as the victim of the will of the population. Subtlety isnt available here, this is symbolism in its most purest form.
Heavily tortured, the non conformist refuses to adapt and will eventually fade away.
Very heavy serious material without one single humorous or original perspective in it make the thing not groundbreaking or really innovating, but more an entertaining short flash movie that alot of the modern day teenagers can relate to.

That was an emotional bit. Very emotional. Seems a lot like.. what was it.. Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World. Something like it.

Disturbing
This is one of the most disturbing things I have ever watched but, that's what makes it good!
In my opinion it is trying to point out that not everyone can be forced to believe or do one thing or another. I think that it is also trying to point out that freedom of speech and the right to go against another person's word is a privillige to those countries that have it but to those that don't, they have to follow the rules/laws of their country/government/dictator or they will be punished...
I would have given this a 10, but the ending ruined it for me.
You could have just finished it at the point where that guy died and he fell off that massive chair... if you did, to me, it would have been perfect.
