It was wierd, and almost scared me a little. Almost, but not quite. And a really crazy ending!

This is my interpretation (which may or may not be totally off the mark)-The group is made up of the social norm, the people everyone has to be like. The one who won't is different, so the others are pressuring him to change--it the most painful way possible. The woman's failing smile suggests she sees him struggling, and has doubts. She goes with the norm anyway. In the end, he doesn't become one of them--and so he's broekn, killed. The party at the end suggests to me that they didn't care what they'd done--life just moved on.
I thought it was brilliant. Hope my interpretation makes sense!
