This is true art
This is a psychological culmination of everything that mankind fears -- something that we cannot control, and being forced to face it. A man is put before a jury, standing trial for his inability, or lack of desire, to smile. So he is punished for said wrong with the ultimate price.
Perhaps it's just me, but something seems very light about the idea of the man's death furthering.. the council's ideals.
The masks worn by what seem to be non-humans were very interesting, and leave me questioning whether the 'council' members are human or not; and then makes me question my own, innermost intents. The trial system is brutal, swift, and it gets the job done with little question.. the way we all fear.
I must say that the flash itself is excellent, the mood that's set is excellent, the exposure of human fear is excellent, and I can find no flaw with anything. My hat goes off to you.
