I... couldn't get one ... god i dont know, all i know is that its great work as usual. i give you two thumbs up on this... absolutley awe inspiering... it was just... incredible... keep up the great submissions, i've loved all of the others, and this one was no exception!

This is Gothic because it has 2 important things that gothic works must have.
One - Something that is dealing with what the society is oppressing. In this animation, what is being oppressed is the actually thoughts and feeling of each individual.. While nowadays, the society just worries about the general.. the majority of people..
Two - The Unnatural, supernatural, powerful villains... We are left with the ambiguity of how much power the people of 'Smile' posess. Thus, this makes us imagine.. Is that the first person who didn't smile? Or is it just one of the casualties?..
Two and a half - Sex! ! ! .. Sexual undertones are implanted in almost all Gothic works and is a definate Gothic theme.
Basically, this animation is very interesting, and serious, and makes one think about themselves and the media around them.
Of course, that was a crazy animation that nearly made me piss my pants! GREAT job ! ! ! Scary, thoughtful stuffs :P
