disco? could of had a darker ending with a deep meaning and spiritual reverlation about the meaning of emotion, but, a disco ball??

Good, but extremly overrated.
I have to say, this flash WAS very good. Good style, interesting artwork, had a sturdy story line, and ect. ect. all the things that make a good flash. But in the end, it fell short for me. To note, I don't mean the ending, which was pretty creative, if not shocking.
Lets see:
Artwork- Good... but far from great. You needed alot more color span (yes, I know I'm talking in grayscale) in the robotic sections, and the shading could also use a tweak. The Smile on the main characters face changed shape in side views compared to front one, while it doesn't take away from the movie, it is a little annoying. Loved the blood though, GREAT splatter effect, it had a very nice rate to it. And as a joke complaint: Did the 'bots forget they had an odd man out during the screwing? I pitied that poor soul. I would have at least had him take the girl-giving-heads ass. Evens things out a bit I think.
Style- It looked like a particular apple commertial done in gray scale. Over used as all hell, but still has creditability.
Story- Eh. Yeah, I read 1984 too, sure, I was in school in the post ninties and caught the style references, ok, yay. Rock on Nike.
The plot was far from original, but that would be fine if it were very well done. This wasn't. Your main character showed nothing interesting personality wise. Ok, non-conformist, we've seen those before... does he have a cavilier attitude? A sympathetic "I don't belong here" feel? A "I'm-just-a-normal-joe" vibe? Is he every punk kid in the US? What are you trying to get out of me here? I didn't feel empathy, sympathy, or any other -thy for that matter, let alone admiration. He wasn't standing up to the powers-that-be, he gave in like a weakling. This would be FINE, if he had something about him for me to care about. In the end, I'd only feel sad if I were an easily led sheep who thinks they hear their life being sang in every song on the radio. He was a doomed soul, who just because a pussy in the end by giving in, and changing who he is. This in a video thats anti-conformist by creation. Contradiction much?
On the other hand, I like that he was doomed no matter what he did the second he was on the podium/chair.
But you know what? That sure as hell isn't enough for you to waste your time making a pretty looking flash on.
In the end, you had a very solid principle, but lackluster presentation. The script would have been helped greatly by you giving it to others to review. And I don't mean your friends, I mean clever people, who know what they're doing. Take pride in everything you do...
Sound- This is where I found things very overrated. You looped a catchy little tune. Yay. I don't see the gift-from-god quality here. It seems like a sad attempt at noir flics. You're not in a french cafe, try some somber sound effects that follow the vibe of the music.
Overall- Lots of talent and lots of commitment get you lots of love. You put a good deal into this flash, but it's not your all so don't get comfy with all these nice reviews. You still have alot of work to do, but you sure have potential up the wazoo.

I'm not quite sure of the meaning behind this movie, but it sempt to be a deep and dark one at that. I found this movie a little disturbing only because I'm not to partial to the torture of others. The movie was also frightening but, the fact that you were able to bring out such an emotion through an animation with ficticious characters takes tallent. To bring out such emotions in your audience is a great visionary gift, I give you props on that. This was definately one of a kind, I've never seen anything like it before, but is definately not for the faint of heart. To be able to make someone laugh through a vision such as an animation doesn't take MUCH talent, but to bring out fear in someone through an animation takes real talent. It's much harder than you may believe. Keep it up!! Ta!

It would have been so much better without the stupid ending u slapped on. You really shouldn't have added that last section with everyone dancing and having sex... it completely ruined it... I felt terrified when I saw the first part. the facial expressions were so dead on. Then you had to ruin it... grrr
