I'm can only assume that the referances to the Western culture were indeed intentional. It spoke volumes about blissful ignorance and blind conformitism aided by a distraction of an over-sexed life.
I am truly impressed with the over all atmosphere and animation of this short. The graphics were simple and clean, the choice of music and the B&W really confirmed this as a deep film noir.
The music really established the same feel, theme and atmosphere as in Blade Runner (1980's Starring Harrison Ford) So bonus points for that too.
The length of this film was perfect, it needed to be that long, and did not require any longer of a stay to send the message loud and clear.
