Ominous.

This seems to foreshadow what our country is turning into. If you dont conform with the norm, you are punished. If you rebel, you are punished. Think about it: do you want to live in a society where you are told what to do, how to act and how to feel, or do you want to be free? Awaken now and save yourselves, for if we continue on this path of conformity and intolerance, then we shall become like the people behind the desk - mindless robots, too selfish and ignorant, never able to accept change and difference. Embrace your uniqueness, applaude for the rebels, and remember their sacrifices, for they are the ones who let Freedom and Liberty survive, not Uncle Sam. Power to the People, not to the State.

Great Moral point.

I found it to be a metaphor to society. How people in power tell you to smile no matter how ignorant they are to the reality of the world, and you just cant smile when the world is the way it is. The emphasize of the robots shows the respresentation of the people of society who in the end them selves are the inhumane ones.
