Reviews for "Smile!"

Deep.

Well, the person who's comment I read before I commented sort of said the best thing anyone could say, but I wanted to add that, I myself, know, somewhat, how that character felt (although I have yet to experience being skewerd like that).

Amazing work.

undoubtedly the most disturbingly ironic flash

without ever speaking, this visually simple flash manages to sum up the thoughts of every person, whether conformist or non-conformist, regarding the desire to conform and the fear that desire awakens within us. in sheer desperation, after steadfast non-conformity, the faceless masses continue to pressure he who refuses to join their legions, eventually resulting in his demise despite his last ditch effort to "become" while their relentless torturing continues. a film both frightening and enchanting. genius use of music

Masterful

Amazing, I like it, great work.
Really gives you a sence of artistry.

I do not understand the dancing at the end, please explain.

Thank you for this.

wow. watch and learn boys and gals. masterpiece!

i never thought i would see anything as poignant as this on new grounds. its taken the words right out of my mouth. all i can see is that this piece should definitely be stickied and permanently saved for all to behold. and years from now, we can look back and say that this single minute long flash movie is the one piece that proved without a doubt that flash can indeed be art!

Powerful, Intense, I Love It

This was a powerful, intense, flash. I think there are many ways it can be interpreted depending on who you are. Some people may see this as government. I see it as social. The guy refuses to conform and be something he is not and this discomforts those who already have. As a result they torture him to the point where finally he gives in an attempt to save himself. However, he is already damaged beyond the point of return and realizing this he is unable to conform any longer. Because after all what is the point. His demise is at hand. The cannon comes out and shoots him and he falls into the pit among countless other corpses of those too smart to play their game. The orgy at the end is perfect it shows the clear disregard for an individual person within a conforming group. It says in no words at all what authors, poets, and creators of unrest have been trying to say for eons about the what the world becomes the majority of people lose the ability to speak out and be who they really are. It makes sense on many levels, however and I think that this is just the way that I see it. Some may disagree with me but that is ok. I hope they come forward and say so. I would love to talk about it. Overall this is very well done and I loved it.
